An Evening with Ryan Sidebottom |

Presenting the awards at the annual cricket
presentation evening was England and Nottinghamshire cricketer, Ryan
Sidebottom. All our teams had a good season with some outstanding
performances from a number of individuals. Our St Lucian player Dalton
Polius was selected to play for the West Indies U19 squad. He was
awarded the Batting Award for his very impressive innings of 99
against the MCC which gave the school its first victory in 14
attempts! The U14s beat rivals QEGS in the final of the Lords
Taverners Competition to become the Yorkshire Country Champions; they
will go on to represent Yorkshire in the National stage next summer
which is an outstanding achievement. The U13s won 8 out of their 9
games; Dylan Budge who plays for the U13s received the Batting Award
for his average of 216.5 and 2 undefeated centuries and in their first
season at the Grove, the U12 performed very well, wining 11 out of
their 15 matches. Patrick Dixon received the Batting award, Patrick
has also represented Yorkshire Schools U12s. Other County
representations include Dylan Budge U13, Ryan Sharrocks U14, Dominic
Copsey, Tom Cummins, Alex Fox, George Marsden and Nadeem Sattar U15
and Daniel Allen U19.
