Major Fundraising Year - for Junior and
Senior Tours |
|
One of the Rugby Clubs main aims is to raise funds for Junior and
Senior Tours for both Bronte House and Woodhouse Grove School. 2012 is a major
touring year, with Senior Tours to South Africa, Senior Development
Tour to Ireland in February, amongst other tours across the years at both WGS
and the annual Rugby and Netball Tour for Bronte House teams. As part of the
ongoing fundraising efforts a number of events have taken place, some jointly
with Netball and Cricket Clubs. The Rugby Club have already pledged £500
per player for both the South Africa and Ireland Tours, and we are continuing
will further fundraising efforts throughout the year to cover other planned
tours.Thank you to everyone who has supported us, and
please contact us if you can help further in any other way (even it is helping
with match day teas/coffees) via
info@woodhousegroverugby.co.uk We would be grateful for any help, and would
be pleased to hear from you.

Rugby Club Christmas Ball venue - Stansfield Arms,
Christmas Marquee |
|
The Christmas Ball held on Friday 2 December was a huge success
and early indications are showing that it is potentially the biggest single fundraising event held by the Rugby Club. The
Marquee was very kindly donated by Chris and Nick Green of Stansfield Arms, who
have supported the Rugby Club constantly at other fundraising events. A big
thank you to all who helped organise the event, particularly John Radigan,
(Chairman of the Senior Tour) for organising the event, and the help that Adrian
Sweeney and Sam Cadman provided. A big thank you to the Woodhouse Grove School
Music Department for the excellent music on the evening. Finally, we would also
like to thank everyone who supported the event on the evening, and hope you
found the evening an enjoyable one.

Fashion & Fizz Fashion Show - House of
Fraser |
|
The second Fashion & Fizz Fashion Show was held in October at The Grove,
kindly supported by House of Fraser. This joint fundraising event was once
again held with the Netball Club, who are raising funds for their next Netball
Tour. The models were made up of future Netball and Rugby Tourists. The evening
was yet again a sell out event, and the Rugby Club would like to thank Rachel
Marshall for organising the event.
